Fiorentina express interest in Eduardo Salvio
According to news reports from Italy, Fiorentina have made an effort to sign Atletico Madrid forward Eduardo Salvio.
The club are actively seeking for Stevan Jovetic’s replacement after it was revealed that the Montenegrin will miss six to eight months due to knee injury.
Sporting director Pantaleo Corvino has already opened negotiations with Atletico regarding the Argentine and the deal could be concluded within next few days.
Los Colchoneros are willing to part ways from the player if they manage to sign Tiago Mendes on a permanent deal, especially since Salvio failed to make his mark after arriving from Lanus in January.
Salvio arrived to Vicente Calderon as one of the hottest prospects in Argentina but he was mostly restricted to substitute appearances at Atletico, although he certainly wasn’t given enough time to prove his worth.
The transfer to Fiorentina could be a very good move for both him and Viola since we are still talking about an excellent attacker who just didn’t have enough time to settle in Spain and he could prove to be quite an asset for the club from Florence, provided they are patient with him.

Werder losing the battle to sign Wesley
Werder looked to have clinched the signing of Santos midfielder Wesley, but Shakhtar Donetsk is trying to steal the player in front of their noses.
The Bundesliga side have agreed to pay Santos 7.5 million euros for the midfielder but before they could complete the deal, Shakhtar offered Santos 10 million euros and thus gained the upper hand over the competition.
The player himself seemed surprised with the latest developments, as witnessed by his remarks at social network Twitter.
“Santos have just called me and told me that nothing has been decided. Shakhtar will pay the transfer fee. Now we will look at offers. Now everything is confused.”
Wesley has become an integral part of Santos team over the last few years and his impressive performances have attracted a lot of attention from Europe. There is no doubt that Werder would be a great opportunity if he is driven by the sporting motives but Shakhtar can certainly offer him better financial conditions and it remains to be seen where the Brazilian will end up.

Schalke eager to sign Robinho
Schalke have singled out Brazlian forward Robinho as one of their main targets in the transfer window and the Bundesliga outfit are ready to make a bid for his services.
The arrival of Raul from Real Madrid was the perfect sign of club’s high ambitions this term and Schalke are now looking to pair the Spaniard with Robinho in attack.
The Brazilian has become disillusioned with life at Eastlands and was willing to return to Santos, but he is prepared to listen to other offers as well.
Schalke are reportedly ready to offer Manchester City 25 million euros for his services and the Citizens could jump at the chance to cash in on the player who proved to be quite a flop at Eastlands.
After guiding his team to the second-place finish in Bundesliga, boss Felix Magath is looking to make one step further this term, and the arrival of Robinho would clearly serve as a major boost to Schalke’s ambitions.
