Olympiakos are out of the Champions League while Anorthosis Famagusta are the first ever Cypriot side to make it to the group phase of Europe’s most prestigious club tournament.

After their 3-0 win in the first leg on Cyprus, Anorthosis had more than one leg in the group phase. However, Olympiakos were determined to turn things around in Athens.

After a goalless first half, the Greeks did finally break the deadlock in the 53rd minute through Belusschi.

But a second, and let alone third goal failed to arrive. Thanks to this 3-1 aggregate victory, Larnaca based Anorthisis are the first side from their country to survive the preliminary rounds of the Champions League.
