(GSM) – Flamengo’s chances of advancing in the Copa Libertadores hang in the balance after their 3-2 win over Caracas on Wednesday in Group 8.

The visitors from Venezuela took the lead in the 14th minute through Rafael Castellín, but goals by Ronaldo Angelim and Michael had Flamengo in front just five minutes later.

Caracas equalized in the 67th minute through Jesús Gómez as they attempted to dash the hopes of the Brazilians, but David struck with 15 minutes to play to give Flamengo the win.

Flamengo could still miss out on the Round of 16 despite finishing second in the group.

Flamengo could, in theory, be passed by either Internacional of Brazil or Racing of Uruguay on Thursday pending results of those games.
