(GSM) – Flamengo and Universidad de Chile kept their prime positions atop Copa Libertadores Group 8 on Thursday with a 2-2 draw at the Maracanã.

It was a back-and-forth first half, but the Chileans struck first in the 43rd minute as Walter Montillo worked one past Flamengo goalkeeper Bruno.

The home side, however, equalized in the 68th minute when Michael made it 1-1.

Vagner Love put Flamengo ahead 2-1 in the 83rd minute for what seemed like would be the winning strike.

But Matías Rodríguez stunned the Brazilians with a 92nd-minute equalizer for Universidad de Chile to earn a point.

The Chileans are atop the group with eight points from four games, while Flamengo are just a further point back.
