AC Milan midfielder Mathieu Flamini insists must do better after failing to establish himself in the team, following his summer move from Arsenal.

The 24-year-old has started just nine games for the Rossonerri this season.

“In London with Arsenal I was used to a 4-4-2 system and it’s important now for me to find my place in the midfield,” Flamini told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I need to understand the team in order to get back to the level I was at when I wore the Arsenal shirt.

“I have a chance to play alongside lots of top-level teammates who know the game well and have great experience.

“I’m still young and I need to keep working in order to reach their level.”
