Flamini closing in on Galatasaray switch

The Metro understands that Arsenal’s Mathieu Flamini is set to secure a move to Galatasaray after the two clubs agreed terms on a deal for the midfielder.

The France international started just fifteen Premier League games for the Gunners last season, having returned to the club from Milan in the summer of 2013.

Across two spells, the 31 year old has racked up just shy of two hundred appearances in all competitions under Arsene Wenger, scoring eleven goals and winning three FA Cups – one of which came prior to his move to Italy.

He has three caps for his country, but hasn’t featured for them since coming on as a substitute in a 2-1 win over Serbia in 2010 World Cup qualification victory over Serbia almost seven years ago.

Galatasaray have already made one signing from Arsenal this summer, having agreed a deal for forward Lukas Podolski last month.
