French midfielder Mathieu Flamini has admitted that he is struggling to make an impact at AC Milan.

Flamini says he is struggling to adapt to his new life in Italy after joining the Rossoneri from Arsenal on a free transfer in the summer.

The 24-year-old said: “It is hard to have a good impact as soon as a player arrives at a new club, a new tournament and a new country.

“I am in good shape but I still need to get more confidence and become more consistent in order to be at 100 per cent.

“My objective is to get into the first team but I first have to get to know my team-mates and Milan’s style of play better, as it is completely different to Arsenal’s.”
