Speaking in a press conference ahead of the game against Hertha in Berlin on Sunday, Bayern Munich head coach Hans-Dieter Flick expressed a strong belief that the club’s hierarchy would deliver on transfers needed.
Flick says he has held talks with Hasan Salihamidzic, Bayern’s sporting director, about this particular issue and he is adamant that both of them want Bayern to be successful; that they want to be successful with Bayern. They discussed a number of things and agreed that the player that would come in would have to be the right ones, they have to be players that can help the team.
They also agreed that no deal has to be done as an absolute necessity. No matter how much they want a certain player to fill a certain position, there is no real need to do anything ‘crazy’, which appears to be a message to any club that would potentially want to sell, that Bayern would not be paying a price which exceeds a player’s value.
