Hansi Flick hailed Barcelona’s recent displays as “unbelievable” as they edged closer to securing the title in LaLiga.

Barca moved seven points clear of Real Madrid at the top of the standings thanks to a 1-0 win over Leganes on Saturday.

Jorge Saenz’s own goal proved decisive, as Barca made it 12 LaLiga matches unbeaten, having dropped points only twice in that run.

The Blaugrana also have one foot into the Champions League semi-finals and will face Madrid in the Copa del Rey final later this month.

“Three points are three points and every game we fight for 90 minutes, when you see the load the players have had in the last few weeks or days, it’s unbelievable,” said Flick.

“After the international break, you see what my players have done, my team’s performance has been unbelievable. I’m very proud of them.”

“It was a perfect game.”

Opta’s supercomputer hands Barca a 91.8% chance of going on to win the title from here, though their focus will now turn to the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Borussia Dortmund.

The Blaugrana lead 4-0 on aggregate, so there would need to be an almighty slip for them not to progress to the last four.

“We have to focus on recovery, recovery, recovery,” urged Flick.

“That’s the way it is. We will train [on Sunday] and fly to Dortmund on Monday.

“We have no excuses – we have to recover, but that’s our job,” he added.

Barca have won all three of their games against German sides in the Champions League this season, beating Bayern Munich (4-1) and Dortmund twice (3-2 and 4-0).

Prior to this season, they had lost five in a row against German opponents in the competition, by an aggregate score of 19-2.
