Atalanta sports director Carlo Osti insists they will not be looking to sell forward Sergio Floccari in the January transfer window.

Floccari has been linked with several clubs in recent weeks, including Roma.

“With the Giallorossi we never spoke about Sergio,” commented the Bergamaschi’s director to Radio Radio TV. “We have to understand whether Roma are really interested in Floccari.

“Here, he has found a coach who has managed to improve his tactical qualities. He’s 27 years old, which isn’t very old, but not too young either. There are players who mature later than others.”

“I think it’s fair that at the end of the season the lad can find a different team to Atalanta. I just hope for him that it’s a big team and that he’s ready to make the definite jump towards a more prestigious reality.”
