According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma captain Alessandro Florenzi is still very much open to the possibility of leaving the club – but he would like to remain in Italian football as opposed to joining Lyon or going over to China, both of which are offers that are currently on the table.
Roma are slowly but surely attempting to claw their way back towards relevancy at the top of Serie A, but it’s going to take a couple of windows for them to do so.
Florenzi’s departure has been telegraphed for quite some time, and at the age of 28, the next move for him could prove to be vital in his development as a world class defender.
Fiorentina and Inter Milan have both been linked in the not so distant past, but when the January transfer window eventually rolls around, it’s safe to say that anything could happen.
