Inter Milan are considering a summer bid for Newcastle United winger Florian Thauvin, according to Tuttosport.
The Nerazzurri have long ago made Lazio’s Antonio Candreva their number one target, but seeing that it will not be easy to reach an agreement with their league rivals for the Italy international, they are ready to turn their attention towards the French footballer.
Thauvin will be returning to St James’ Park this summer when his loan spell with Marseille comes to an end, but even though he has another four years left on his contract, chances are that he will not be staying with the Magpies, especially if the club get relegated.
This is why he is ready to consider a move to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, with Inter Milan officials already establishing the first contact with his representatives.
Thauvin, 23, did not exactly impress on his return to Stade Velodrome, but he did manage to score 2 goals in 13 league outings.
