According to Sky Germany, Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz is keen to join Bayern Munich next summer.
Wirtz, as one of the most valued young playmakers in Europe at the moment, is on the wish list of practically every big club around the continent. Real Madrid are said to be keeping an eye on developments, as are Manchester City and Liverpool. However, the 21-year-old has formed his plan, which starts with a move from Leverkusen to Bayern at the end of this season, and a move away from the Bundesliga at some point in the not-too-distant future.
There is, unsurprisingly, one major obstacle for the Bavarians to make the transfer happen. Come next summer, Wirtz will still have two years left on his contract, and the reigning Bundesliga champions are set to demand no less than €100 million, likely more than that, to relinquish his services. Whether Bayern will be willing to part with such a sum remains to be seen.
