(GSM) – Brazilian side Fluminense have announced the signing of Deco from English champions Chelsea.
The Rio de Janeiro-based club announced the signing of the the 32-year-old, who penned a two-year contract, on their official website.
The former Barcelona and Porto midfielder will be officially unveiled on Monday.
A club statement on www.fluminense.com.br read: “The vice president of Fluminense, Alcides Antunes, has officially signed Deco from Chelsea.
Deco was finally given his release from the London club after lengthy negotiations.
The Portuguese midfielder has won the Champions League twice with Porto and Barcelona in 2004 and 2006 respectively.
Deco will now link-up with former Chelsea team-mate Juliano Belletti, who moved to Fluminense earlier in the summer.
