Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun is considering leaving the club in the January transfer window, according to Metro. The 19-year-old’s contract at the North London outfit runs out next year, and the teenager is considering a move away. Talks over an extension have stalled, and the youngster is frustrated with his lack of first-team opportunities.
According to WhoScored, Balogun has played just 16 minutes in the Europa League for Arsenal so far this season. It is hard to see the young striker get much playing time for Mikel Arteta’s team in the coming weeks and months, as the Gunners are well stocked in the striking department.
Arsenal are doing well at the moment, and it is hard to see Arteta have the teenager in his immediate plans. A loan move to a club in the top end of the Championship in the January transfer window would make sense, as it is hard to see him play week in and week out for any Premier League side at this stage of his footballing career.
