Fonatana set to join Parma

Palermo keeper Alberto Fontana is set to join Serie B side Parma, according to reports.

Rosanero chief Maurizio Zamparini claims the veteran will make the move in the January transfer window.

Fontana is not happy with his position on the Palermo bench.

“I think it will happen,” noted the Sicilian President. “He can’t be handed a first team shirt here with us.

“It is his desire to play regular football therefore he will join a club where he will be assured of a place in the side.”
