Forest eyeing Rhodes bid

Championship promotion hopefuls Nottingham Forest are considering an £8m January swoop for Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes, according to TalkSport.

The Scotland international has scored thirty-nine goals in sixty-nine appearances since moving to Ewood Park from Huddersfield Town last summer for a fee of £8m.

Eleven of those have come for Gary Bowyer’s side this season, and the Rovers boss is keen to keep hold of his star man to aid their own promotion push.

However Forest, whose own bid to reach the Premier League has stalled in recent weeks with their win over league leaders Leicester City last month their only victory in their last seven games, are desperate to add more firepower when the transfer window opens next month.

Billy Davies’ side face Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday afternoon keen to return to winning ways, and the former European champions can be backed at 11/8 to take all three points.
