Forest sign striker Djebbour

Championship promotion hopefuls Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of striker Rafik Djebbour from Olympiakos, according to Sky Sports.

The East Midlands club have been linked with a move for a new striker for much of the season, with the majority of their goals coming from midfield so far this season.

There has been talk of moves for Hull City’s Matty Fryatt and Danny Graham – currently on loan at Hull from Sunderland, but they have turned to the Greek Super League in order to complete their first deal of the month.

Djebbour has spent the last four months on loan with Turkish side Sivasspor, where he scored four goals in fourteen appearances, while internationally he has been capped twenty-five times for Algeria, scoring five goals.

He is a former teammate of Forest winger Djamel Abdoun, and has played with him both at club level with Olympiakos and for their country.
