Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan admits he would be interested in a move to Spanish champions Barcelona, should the right offer arrive.
The Uruguayan has been linked with a move to the Champions League winners in recent months.
“Right now, I have more than two years left on my contract. From there, you already know how this works in football. If offers start to arrive, it will be necessary to study them,” he said in an interview with Marca.
“At this point in time, I have not received anything concrete. But if something comes along and the two clubs can reach an agreement and I can agree personal terms… I would be very sad to leave these wonderful fans because in principle, I do not want to go.
“But then again, I am obviously no longer 25-years-old and I am not getting any younger and I have to seize the moment. For me to say yes and accept an offer, it would have to be something much better than what I have now at Atletico. If the conditions are the same, I will stay where I am because I am happy here.”
Forlan joined Atletico from Villarreal in a €21million deal in 2007 and his contract with the club is set to expire in 2011.
