Competition: World Cup
Market: France to win against Honduras
Odds: 1/3 @ Bet 365

France come into their first 2014 World Cup game off the back of fine form. Les Blues have won three of their last four games against opponents which included the Netherlands, Norway and Jamaica. Managed by Didier Deschamps, they are dark horses for the tournament, but boast arguably one of the best squads.

Hugo Lloris (Tottenham), Patrice Evra (Man Utd), Mamadou Sakho (Liverpool), Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal), Yohan Cabaye (PSG), Blaise Matuidi (PSG), Paul Pogba (Juventus), Olivier Giroud (Arsenal) Karim Benzema (Real Madrid) and Mathieu Valbuena (Marseille) is their likely starting XI to face Honduras.

Their opponents have a few stars: Emilio Izaguirre (Celtic), Maynor Figueroa (Hull City), Wilson Palacios (Stoke City) and Roger Espinoza (Wigan Athletic), but they aren’t being considered to be anything other than Group E’s whipping boys, and Bet 365 are backing France with odds of 1/3 as a result.

Honduras have won only one of their last five games, losing to the likes of USA, Turkey, and Israel in the previous 12 months.
