Former Arsenal defender undergoes Houston Dynamo trial

French daily newspaper L’Equipe has learned that former Arsenal centre-back Philippe Senderos is undergoing a trial with Houston Dynamo.

The 32-year-old became a free agent this summer after his short spell with Rangers came to an end and he is now searching for a new club.

MLS side Houston Dynamo are interested in signing the Swiss footballer, but they first want to test his fitness, with Senderos set to spend a week on a trial.

Houston Dynamo had a pretty good start to the new season, climbing to third in the Western Conference standings, but they did concede 30 goals in 21 games, twice the amount of second-placed Sporting KC.

It is therefore hardly surprising that they are considering a move for the player who spent the majority of his career in English Premier League.
