Freddie Ljunberg was voted Arsenal’s 11th best player of all time, according to the a report in The Daily Mail, however the same report also mentioned that Ljunberg will be sacked by West Ham just one year after joining the club.
Ljunberg has not had the happiest of seasons at Upton Park as his performances were well below par and he was almost constantly injured, now West Ham have decided to pay him £6 million just to end his contract – he was due to earn £8 million in salary in the next two years at the club.
The former Arsenal star – a member of ‘the invincibles’ – is now reportedly considering other options and has asked his agent to find him a club in one of Europe’s major leagues as he believes he still has what it takes to compete at the top level.
