Former Barca star Belletti moves to Fluminense

Brazilian right back Juliano Belletti has returned to Brazil after a gap of eight years by signing for Fluminense. The 34 year old was out of contract after being released by English giants Chelsea and has penned a new deal with Fluminense. The deal is subject to him having a successful medical at the club.

Belletti last plied his trade in Brazil in 2002 for Santos. From Santos, he moved to Villarreal and then joined Catalan giants Barcelona in 2004. After three years at the Nou Camp, he opted for a switch north to England with Chelsea.

Flamengo were also interested in signing Belletti, who is likely to be joined at Fluminense by former Chelsea teammate Deco.
