Former Liverpool flop signs for Galatasaray

Galatasaray have completed the signing of winger Albert Riera from Olympiakos, the Turkish club have revealed.

The Turkish giants yesterday agreed a €3 million fee with Olympiakos, clearing way for the Spaniard to sign a four-year deal with Cim Bom.

The former Liverpool midfielder arrives to Turk Telekom Arena after spending just one year at Olympiakos.

“I wish to thank the president and the Olympiacos board for finally accepting my desire to move to Galatasaray, as it was an excellent proposal for me and my family,” Riera told Galatasaray’s official website.

“I believe that I showed the best of me in the year that I was with the team and I wish Olympiacos, my co-players and the fans all success.”
