Former Republic of Ireland and Liverpool striker John Aldridge has criticised Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez for his verbal attack on Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
On Friday, Benitez launched a scathing attack on Ferguson on a number of issues regarding fixtures and referees.
John Aldridge said that he felt that those comments could come back to haunt him. He added that to make matters worse his Liverpool side did not impress in their 0-0 draw against Stoke at the Britannia Stadium.
He also told The Sunday World that if Benitez does not go on to win the League with Liverpool this season then he “lost the plot.â€Â
