Competition: Scottish Premier League
Market: David Moyes to be next Celtic manager
Odds: 1/1 @ Betfair
Manager David Moyes is reportedly considering becoming Celtic manager for the 2016/17 season. The Scotsman has admitted an interest when recently asked , and the job could become vacant with manager Ronny Deila expected to be departing in the summer.
Moyes is out of work after his sacking from Spanish La Liga side Real Sociedad earlier in the season, but he’s looking to get back in management this summer. Celtic are a job that greatly appeal to his as a former player of the Bhoys coupled with their chances of title success.
Celtic are wary of fierce rivals Rangers all but earning promotion back to the Scottish Premier League this season, and want a manager who will ensure the Gers won’t overtake them. Moyes is exactly that, and could turn Celtic into a threatening European outfit in due time.
Neil Lennon and Alan Stubbs are both in the frame to replace Deila in the summer, with Celtic currently making hard work of winning the Scottish Premier League title, but Moyes is a 1/1 favourite with Betfair to be the next man at the helm.
