Former Man Utd defender on the move

Former Manchester United full-back Alexander Buttner will be available for sale in the winter, Izvestia has learned.

The 26-year-old joined Dynamo Moscow from the Red Devils in the summer of 2014 and he did well to make 19 league appearances during his first season at the club.

However, he has since fallen behind Grigory Morozov in the pecking order and the Russians are desperate to get rid of the player’s high salary.

Even if Buttner has another two years left on his contract, he will be offloaded in the winter transfer window, provided the club receive a suitable offer for his services.

There is a chance that the Dutch full-back will be returning to the Premier League, with Everton reportedly interested in his signature.

Buttner had failed to prove his worth in England, having made mere 13 league appearances during the two years at Old Trafford after joining from Vitesse.
