Competition: Premier League
Market: Tim Sherwood to be next West Brom manager
Odds: 3/1 @ 888 Sport
Odds have once again been slashed on who will be the next manager at West Brom, and surprisingly it’s former Tottenham man Tim Sherwood who is in the frame as the bookies’ favourite. Dave Jones & Malky Mackay are both still in the running, but are behind Sherwood at present.
Despite leading the side to a Europa League place after taking on the job mid-season, Sherwood found himself axed by owner Daniel Levy at the end of the campaign. But he’s said to have a number of potential suitors, with Southampton, Aston Villa and Brighton three clubs who have been linked with Sherwood.
888 Sport are giving odds of 3-1 for the 45-year-old to be next West Brom manager following the departure of Pepe Mel.
West Brom endured a difficult season in the league. They finished in 17th place, with 36 points and just seven league wins to their name. Whatever manager does come in will have a difficult task in keeping them in the division next season.
