Former Tottenham star moves to MLS

South Korean defender Lee Young-Pyo has joined Vancouver Whitecaps on a free transfer.

The former Tottenham star had been a fee agent since leaving Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal in the summer.

He has now decided to postpone his retirement and signed a one-year deal with MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps.

“I’ve been impressed with the professional of the club and how it is run,” Lee told reporters in Korea.

“From next year, I will do my best to help my new team get some good results.”
