Competition: Premier League
Market: Steve Clarke to be next Crystal Palace manager
Odds: 7/2 @ Coral

Following the departure of manager Tony Pulis from Crystal Palace, many names have been linked to the vacancy this summer. The newest favourite is former West Brom manager Steve Clarke to replace the Welshman.

The 50-year-old has only held one managerial position, spending one year with West Bromwich Albion. The Midlands club finished in 8th position in the Premier League, with a points tally of 49 – their best league finish for over 30 years.

Coral are giving odds of 7/2 for Clarke to become the next Crystal Palace manager, with co-chairman Steve Parrish looking to make an appointment as soon as possible as the Eagles have lost their two opening Premier League game.

After Pulis guided the club to safety last season, it would be a gamble appointing a manager with only a year‘s worth of Premier League experience, but Steve Clarke is regarded as one of the best coaches in the country.
