Finnish footballer Mikael Forssell will be making his return to the German Bundesliga by joining Hannover 96.
The 27 year old attacker is expected to sign a contract for the coming three seasons.
Forssell, who spent the last years at Birmingham City, played in Germany before when on loan from Chelsea to Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2003.
At Borussia, the German-born scored seven goals in sixteen games.
Hannover’s technical director Christian Hochstätter, who knows Forssell from their time together at Borussia Mönchengladbach, stated to be very happy about the player’s choice to play at his club.
