Valenciennes midfielder Foued Kadir is on the verge of joining Marseille, the player has revealed.
The French giants recently admitted their interest in the highly rated footballer and it appears the transfer is reaching its final stage.
Kadir, who has just over six months left on his deal at Stade du Hainaut, has received quite a few attractive offers from abroad, but he seems to prefer a move to Stade Veldrome.
“There have been contacts, exchanges,” the Algerian told Canal +. “We’ll know in a few days. If it happens, everyone will win.”
Kadir, 29, is set to snub an offer from Borussia M’gladbach in favour of a move to Marseille.
“I am Marseillais at heart, I do not hide it.”
Foued Kadir has played for lower division sides Cannes and Amiens at the start of his career, with Valenciennes his first top flight club.
It was at Stade du Hainaut that he made a name for himself, scoring 15 goals in 82 Ligue 1 games for the club.
The attacking midfielder has been in scintillating form this term, netting 6 goals and producing 4 assists in 18 league fixtures.
