Robbie Fowler will return to the Premiership, signing a deal with Blackburn Rovers. The striker opted not to extend his contract at Cardiff City.
The 33-year-old signed a one-year-deal with Cardiff last season, with the option to extend the stay with another.
The Welsh side support Fowler however, in his decision to return to England.
At Cardiff, Fowler has struggled with injuries and scored a relatively low amount of six goals in sixteen games.
Having played for Liverpool (twice), Leeds United and Manchester City in the past, Blackburn will be aiming to use Fowler’s experience to improve the side’s chances for the coming season.
