Competition: International friendly
Market: France to win against Sweden
Odds: 1/2 @ William Hill
France are confident of keeping up their fine form with a win against Sweden in tomorrow’s international friendly. Les Blues have lost only one game under manager Didier Deschamps – a 1-0 defeat to Germany in the 2014 World Cup quarter-final.
Since this summer’s major international tournament, France have impressively beaten Spain, Portugal and Armenia, while picking up draws against Serbia and Albania. Sweden face a difficult task to get a result against Deschamps’s men when the two sides lock horns tomorrow evening, as the Blågult have somewhat struggled against elite opposition.
The likes of Austria, Montenegro and Russia have held the Swedes to a draw in their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, and as a result William Hill are giving odds of 1/2 for France to see past Sweden. Erik Hamren’s side have suffered defeats this year to Turkey, Denmark, and Belgium, with their 2-0 win against Estonia in September being their last victory in an international friendly since January.
