(GSM) – Disappointed former France captain Zinedine Zidane insisted that there is still hope for the Les Bleus to progress to the second round at the World Cup.
Zidane, who inspired France to win the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000, still hopes France remains in contention for the title.
“This team has the possibility to get over this obstacle with this match. Everything can change for them,” Zidane said.
“I hope they can still get out of this group. There is hope even if everything that has been said to now is the opposite.”
The Les Bleus have only a slim chance of getting beyond the group stage, if they beat South Africa with a huge goal margin and Mexico or Uruguay loss in their last Group A match.
