Competition: World Cup
Market: Pogba to be Young Player of the Tournament
Odds: 1/4 @ Betfair

The World Cup awards have been announced and the nominees are in for the Young Player of the Tournament. Paul Pogba (France), Memphis Depay (Netherlands) and Raphael Varane (France) are the short listed names, but Pogba is odds-on to win it.

The 21-year-old midfielder made five appearances for France in this summer’s World Cup, scoring one goal and making one assist. Making 15 successful dribbles and 240 passes, Pogba has been a standout performer for Les Blues. His energetic style and technical ability sets him apart from the rest, and Betfair are giving odds of 1/4 for the young midfielder to be named Young Player of the Tournament as a result.

He enjoyed a great last campaign for Serie A champions Juventus, scoring seven goals and making as many assists in 36 games from midfield, while creating 48 chances too.

Pogba has been a target for many clubs as a result of his showings in the last 12 months, and sees his stock only getting higher at time goes on.
