Serie A high-flyers Atalanta have moved to confirm that they might be prepared to consider serious offers for star player Franck Kessie in the summer transfer window.
The Ivorian has quickly developed into one of world’s most sought-after footballers following some outstanding performances for Orobici in his maiden top flight campaign.
And while he was linked with quite a few top sides ahead of the winter transfer window, Kessie eventually remained in Bergamo, where he will attempt to help Atalanta secure European qualification.
But, even though Orobici were not prepared to consider a January exit, they may decide to listen to offers in the summer transfer window, while the club also denied an agreement had been reached with AS Roma.
“Everyone thinks that Kessie will sign with AS Roma, but that is not true,” Atalanta technical director Giuseppe Sartori told Bergamo TV.
“He has not been sold to anyone. And until next summer, we do not speak to anyone.”
Franck Kessie, 20, has already scored 6 goals in 18 league outings this term, while starting all three group games for Ivory Coast at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
