Swansea full-back Franck Tabanou could be returning to Saint Etienne this winter, according to Radio Monte Carlo.
The 26-year-old arrived at Liberty Stadium as one of Ligue 1’s leading stars, but he was never given a real chance to impress in England.
Tabanou hasn’t made a single Premier League appearance for the Welsh side, and he is almost certain to leave the club in the January transfer window.
Radio Monte Carlo claims that his former club Saint Etienne are ready to welcome him with open hands despite the fact that Benoit Assou-Ekotto has done well in his absence.
Saint Etienne coach Christophe Galtier reportedly phoned Tabanou directly to inform him of the club’s interest to take him back on loan until the end of the season.
The highly rated full-back, who had operated as a winger before joining les Verts, has only made two League Cup outings for Swansea this season.
