Benfica winger Franco Cervi has a long list of suitors among top European clubs, according to his official representative.
The 22-year-old joined the club last summer from Rosario Central as a replacement for Nicolas Gaitan and he did well to immediately nail down a regular starting berth.
Cervi has fared pretty well at the start of his career in Portugal, having managed 1 goal and 4 assists in 16 Primeira Liga outings, and his excellent showings clearly did not go unnoticed.
The youngster’s official representative Fabio Soldini has moved to suggest that clubs from Germany and other top leagues are casting admiring glances towards his client.
“I’ve already been called, but next month I’m going to travel (to Europe), because Benfica have a Champions League game,” Soldini told Radio Rivadavia.
“It is not only Germany, there are also other European clubs.”
Franco Cervi had come through the youth ranks at Rosario Central and he went on to score 5 goals in 42 league matches before moving to Benfica.
He has quickly proved his worth at Estadio da Luz, and is already being linked with a big club move.
