Ryan Fraser, formerly of Bournemouth, has agreed a deal to join Newcastle United, according to Sky Sports.
Once linked with the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, more recent reports credited Crystal Palace and West Ham United with interest in the Scottish winger, but is seems Newcastle, who have been very active in tha transfer market in the last week, have come out on top once more. Like Norwich City left-back Jamal Lewis and Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, Fraser is set to ply his trade at St James Park soon.
Fraser and Wilson are both scheduled to undergo a medical ahead of their respective moves today (Monday). Talks between the 26-year-old and Magpies boss Steve Bruce apparently prompted Fraser to choose Newcastle ahead of other potential destinations, as well as the prospect of teaming up with Wilson once again.
Fraser played a total of 229 games in all competitions for Bournemouth since his arrival in 2013, scoring 30 goals.
