A late goal from Pierre-Alain Frau earned Lille a share of the points from a 1-1 draw at home to fellow strugglers Nice.
Frau popped up with the equaliser two minutes from time to cancel out Loic Remy’s opener for the visitors.
The result does little to help either club, however, with Nice in the bottom two of Ligue 1, a point behind their opponents.
Lille began the stronger and Adil Rami had the first glimpse of goal, heading Ludovic Obraniak’s free-kick just over.
Rami came even closer to scoring after 37 minutes, again getting his head to an Obraniak cross but directing his effort against the crossbar.
Matthieu Debuchy caused further panic in the Nice defence with a shot from the edge of the area which warmed the palms of David Ospina.
Nice had to wait until the end of the first half for their best chance and Remy should have done better with a header which fell wide of the left post.
The striker got it right after 60 minutes though, latching onto a loose ball and racing into the area before despatching a shot into the bottom corner.
Lille pushed hard for a leveller and Gervinho was denied after 68 minutes when his shot from a tight angle was saved by the feet of Ospina.
But the home side’s patience finally paid off as the clock ticked down.
Gervinho supplied Frau with a neat pass which the striker blasted into the top right corner from 18 yards.
