Eintracht Frankfurt in-form forward Luka Jovic has been the talk of the town during the past couple of weeks.
The Serbian international is enjoying a sensational goalscoring spell this season and is expected to be one of the most highly coveted names this summer with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Liverpool, to name but a few, all said to be keeping close tabs on him.
The 21-year-old striker scored 19 goals in Bundesliga and Europa League combined, while also contributing with 5 assists – last of which came in his team’s 2-2 draw at Shakhtar Donetsk last Thursday.
La Liga powerhouse Barcelona were said to have launched – and agreed – a deal to sign toe on-loan Benfica player from Eintracht but the board representative of Eintracht Frankfurt Fredi Bobic played down the rumours relating to the hot-shot striker.
Former Borussia Dortmund striker claims there hasn’t yet been a single offer for Jovic.
“Not a single one, that’s fact and reality”, Bobic told Sky Micro.
Eintracht Frankfurt are on the course of their best season in history and will undoubtedly be looking to make Jovic’s deal permanent. Bobic indicates Eintracht will exercise their option to sign the player but it can be assumed they will face a proper struggle to keep him around for beyond the current season.
