Daily Star is reporting that French sides Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain are locked in the battle for Manchester United full-back Patrice Evra.
The Frenchman has entered the final year of his contract at Old Trafford and with the Red Devils set to make a move on Leighton Baines, it looks as though he won’t be offered a new deal.
However, the 32-year-old will have no shortage of offers next summer, with Monaco and PSG reportedly keen.
According to the Daily Star, Evra will be offered a four-year deal worth £150,000 per week plus another £5 million signing on fee by both clubs, which would see him almost double his £85,000 a week wages at Old Trafford.
It was from Monaco that the defender arrived at Old Trafford in the first place, and the Principality club are hoping Evra will prefer a return to Stade Louis II to joining Paris Saint-Germain.
