Fulham 10/11 to beat Luton Town in Saturday’s Championship matchup

Competition: Championship

Market: Fulham win

Odds: 10/11 @ 888sport

Desperate to make a return to winning ways this weekend, Fulham will make the trip across the capital on Saturday afternoon when they face off against Luton.

Starting with the hosts, managing to make a thumping return to winning ways with a 3-0 romp against Blackpool last weekend, there is no doubt that Luton will be desperate to build off of that result. However, while the Hatters might still find themselves hanging onto their spot in the top-half of the Championship table, Nathan Jones’ men will know that they face a stern test on home soil here. Bringing an end to what was a worrying four-match winless run on either side of November’s international break, Luton will still be worried by their recent issues at Kenilworth Road. Including a 2-1 defeat against Cardiff last time out in the capital, Saturday’s hosts have lost back-to-back contests on home soil. Likewise, it should also be noted that when they last faced off against Fulham during the 2019 campaign, they managed to collect just a single point.

As for the visitors, managing to snatch a late point against fellow automatic promotion chasers Bournemouth last weekend, Fulham will be looking to build off of those positives. While Marco Silva’s men might still find themselves holding a one-point buffer at the top of the table, the former Everton boss has seen his side draw each of their last three Championships contests. Nevertheless, still tipped as a standout pick to book an immediate Premier League return this season, the west London outfit are unbeaten in each of their last 10 matchups, a run that stems back to October 2nd. With attacking talisman Aleksandar Mitrović appearing to storm his way to this year’s Golden Boot, Silva’s side have continued to impress with their displays on the road. Collecting 20 points away from Craven Cottage so far, we’re backing an away victory here.
