Fulham 11/8 to beat Preston in Tuesday’s Championship showdown

Competition: Championship

Market: Fulham win

Odds: 11/8 @ Bet 365

Two sides in a play-off battle, Fulham will make the trip to a struggling Deepdale in what could be a top-six six-pointer on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, putting in another worrying display and hit with a shock 2-0 defeat away at QPR last weekend, Alex Neil’s men have come crashing down to earth after a stunning start to the season. Now losing their play-off status and the one-time Norwich boss watching his side lose their last four matches on the bounce, fans around Deepdale will be most concerned by their side’s form in the final third. Failing to record a single strike in any of their four defeats, Preston also suffered late heartbreak against West Brom in their last appearance on home soil.

As for the visitors, while Fulham may have seen their winning run come to an end against Bristol City over the weekend, Scott Parker will be impressed by his side’s performances nearing closer to Christmas. Winning four of their last five and led by leading marksman Aleksandar Mitrovic who has 15 goals since opening the new campaign, the former Chelsea midfielder has seen his side also land back-to-back victories outside of West London. Also losing just one of their previous eight matches on the road, a run that has seen them snatch victories over Swansea and Birmingham, we’re backing an away victory in midweek.
