Fulham and Benfica are locked in the battle for Evian midfielder Mohammed Rabiu, reports L’Equipe.
The Ghanaian footballer has seen his stock rise a great deal last season and he is reportedly looking for a new challenge.
According to L’Equipe, Benfica are showing interest in the 23-year-old as they prepare for life without Nemanja Matic.
The Eagles have been told they will have to pay around €3 million for the Ghana international, which is well within their price range.
The only problem is that Fulham are also believed to be keen on the player who impressed at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
Rabiu is a combative midfielder who began his professional career in Spain and also had a short spell with Udinese before joining Evian in the summer of 2010.
The Ghanaian has since made a total of 63 Ligue 1 appearances for the French minnows and went on to score two goals.
