Fulham are interested in signing Calum Chambers from Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun. It has been reported by the British tabloid that the Cottagers are considering making a permanent move for the 25-year-old defender, who can operate as a right-back or as a centre-back.
Scott Parker’s side will play in the Premier League next season after winning promotion from the Championship via the playoffs. Fulham need to strengthen their squad as they prepare for life back in the top flight of English football, and they have reportedly identified Chambers as a transfer target this summer.
Chambers spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Fulham and did well well for the Cottagers in the Premier League. According to WhoScored, the 25-year-old made 29 starts and two substitute appearances in the league for the London club in 2018-19, scoring two goals in the process. Chambers will reportedly cost £12 million in transfer fees.
