Fulham eyeing move for Mancienne

Fulham are keen on signing Michael Mancienne from Championship rivals Nottingham Forest, according to the Mail Online.

The centre-back moved to the City Ground from Hamburg on a three-year deal last summer and has so far racked up forty-three appearances for the East Midlands outfit in all competitions.

However the former Chelsea man is wanted by Fulham manager Kit Symons, who is lining up a £2.5m bid.

During his time in the Bundesliga, Mancienne racked up almost fifty league appearances while he has also had loan spells with Queens Park Rangers and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Internationally, he was capped thirty times for England’s U21s – only James Milner, Tom Huddlestone and Fabrice Muamba have appeared more.

Fulham currently sit twenty-first in the Championship after taking just two points from their opening four games and they can be backed at 2/1 to register their first win of the campaign at bottom of the table Rotherham United on Saturday.
