Fulham are interested in signing Ollie Watkins from Brentford in the summer transfer window, according to Sky Sports. It has been reported that the Premier League club are in talks with the Championship side over a move for the 24-year-old.
Watkins, who can play as a forward or as an attacking midfielder, is one of the best player in the Championship. The 24-year-old played an important role in the Bees reaching the playoff final during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring 26 goals and providing three assists in 49 league matches, according to WhoScored. During the 2018-19 season, Watkins made 35 starts and six substitute appearances in the Championship for the London club, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
Fulham, who will play in the Premier League next season after beating Brentford in the Championship playoff final, are reportedly facing competition for Watkins from Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion.
