Fulham captain Brede Hangeland has revealed that the Cottagers are showing interest in Molde defender Vegard Forren.
The 24-year-old centre-back has been attracting attention from top European clubs and is widely tipped to leave his current club for greener pastures at the end of the season.
Everton are believed to be keen on the talented stopper, but Fulham have also joined the race.
The Cottagers captain Brede Hangeland reveals that boss Martin Jol has enquired about his international teammate.
“His name has come up,” Hangeland told Norwegian TV2. “They asked me about him after the last international break, so of course I had to be honest and tell them he’s a very good footballer.
“I think it was the manager who mentioned it. He picks up on quite a few things. He asked me about Forren.”
Vegard Forren has spent his entire career at Molde, but it appears he is finally ready for a new challenge.
He has made a total of 145 league appearances for the Norwegian club, scoring 5 goals in the process.
The interesting thing is that Forren and Hangeland form a centre-back pairing in the national team and could easily be reunited at club level as well.
